Jordan Green, Birth & Postpartum Doula
My name is Jordan Green. I am a birth and postpartum doula with a specialty in grief and loss and mood/anxiety disorders. I chose my path into the birth world in 2013 after finding out such a wonderful resource existed when I needed it myself during my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period.
I have a deep love for helping women feel strong and empowered in their
ideal birth not only physically and mentally during labor, but also by
providing non-judgmental support and information in pregnancy.
I personally know the fourth trimester transition may not go as planned
whether you’ve experienced a loss or you’re finding it mentally
challenging. I can assist in making day to day tasks feel less
overwhelming, help with baby/self care, and also provide resources and
information you may need.
Karrie Green grew up in Minnesota as the middle of seven children. Birth
and breastfeeding were a natural part of family life. Some time after the
birth of her fourth child, Karrie realized her passion for supporting women
during pregnancy and labor. Providing comfort and education for expectant
mothers–before, during, and after the birth of their child–gives families
the tools they need to make informed decisions, whether the birth takes
place in the hospital, birth center or home.
In 2016, Karrie certified as both a birth and postpartum doula through
Madriella. Additionally, she is trained as a birth doula through Birth Arts
International and currently volunteers on the Mower County Breastfeeding
Coalition. She anticipates receiving a diploma in massage therapy and
offering her clients prenatal and infant massage by the spring of 2018.
Childbirth is the scariest most empowering thing that I have ever done. I believe that everyone deserves to have an amazing birth story. I would love to be your doula and help empower you before, during and after labor. Everyone’s experience is unique and I am here to support you through your journey no matter what decisions you make.
I have completed my birth doula training through DONA international and am working towards becoming certified. I am so passionate about the birth process and I know that being a doula is what I was meant to do. Being a doula means more to me than just being a support person during labor. As your doula I plan to be there every step of the way to help educate, support and empower not only you, the birthing person, but your family as well.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like to set up a meeting to get to know each other better. I look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with you!
Stephanie has been interested in birth since she was a little girl. When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, “A baby doctor” would always be her response. The birth of her first son sparked a strong urge to do more for expectant families in MN. She started her training as a Bradley ® Teacher in 2010 and became a certified Bradley® Instructor and Doula shortly thereafter. She then attended a few midwifery study group meetings learned the benefits of placenta encapsulation. This inspired Stephanie and she has been offering encapsulation services since 2013.
In 2012 she became the mother of a second precious little boy, attended a Midwifery Today conference on the east coast, and worked closely with a small group of women to start the Deep Valley Birth Collective. Stephanie is currently on the board of directors and is serving a three year term as Treasurer.
In 2014 Stephanie began to further her education she is currently working towards duel certifications with Birth Arts as a Labor Support Doula and Midwifery Assistant. She is thrilled for this new chapter and can’t wait to see where it takes her.
