Karrie Green grew up in Minnesota as the middle of seven children.Birth and breastfeeding were a natural part of family life. Some time after the birth of her fourth child, Karrie realized her passion for supporting women during pregnancy and labor. Providing comfort and education for expectant mothers–before, during, and after the birth of their child–gives families the tools they need to make informed decisions, whether the birth takes place in the hospital, birth center or home. In 2016, Karrie certified as both a birth and postpartum doula through Madriella. Additionally, she is trained as a birth doula through Birth Arts International and currently volunteers on the Mower County Breastfeeding Coalition. She completed her massage certification in April of2018 and anticipates receiving her lactation certification by the fall of 2018.

Breea Hare – Birth Doula
Kasson, MN

Childbirth is the scariest most empowering thing that I have ever done. I believe that everyone deserves to have an amazing birth story. I would love to be your doula and help empower you before, during and after labor. Everyone’s experience is unique and I am here to support you through your journey no matter what decisions you make.
I have completed my birth doula training through DONA international and am working towards becoming certified. I am so passionate about the birth process and I know that being a doula is what I was meant to do. Being a doula means more to me than just being a support person during labor. As your doula I plan to be there every step of the way to help educate, support and empower not only you, the birthing person, but your family as well.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like to set up a meeting to get to know each other better. I look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with you!

Jane Yaakni Hopaki, CLC, CPPS, Traditional Birthkeeper
Earth Birth & Breastfeeding LLC

(507) 722-8931

Hello! I am a full spectrum Traditional Birthkeeper, Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), Certified Placenta Preparation Specialist, and Midwives’ Assistant living in Rochester. I am passionately mother-child-centered and a proponent of physiological birth. I offer Prenatal Mentoring, Birth, Postpartum, and Breastfeeding Support, Placenta Preparation, and Birth Pool Rental Services within a 1.5-hour radius of Rochester.
I view birth as a healthy, normal part of womanhood, and I view intervention into birth physiology as carrying inherent risks, which should be weighed with great reverence. I support a mother’s choice to give birth anywhere and with anyone she feels drawn to, and I believe in the wisdom, connection, and collaboration of the mother-baby unit. Additionally, I have a special passion for serving first-time mothers, and I see immense value in ensuring that all members of a family are comfortable and supported throughout the heroic journey of birth, which includes the sacred postpartum time.

I have 20 years experience in the doula field and love attending births! I am a dedicated mother of three and a licensed Pastor. My training includes inner healing techniques, certification through DONA International as a birth doula as well as postpartum doula training by ProDoula.
Currently my passion includes sharing wisdom together in a 2-day Christian doula training workshop called “Heart of a Doula, Birthing a Vision”. This is a mentorship opportunity through the Grateful Life Doula Collective. It is a resource for those who want a Christian doula to attend their birth or are interested in becoming co-laborers with Christ and women in our community as ministry doulas.
The goal is to have love at birth and love for life…this means walking alongside those on the journey of new life, physically and spiritually. If you are looking for a doula who will serve you, then I would love to meet with you!

Meg Novak – Birth & Postpartum Doula
Bella Luna Birth Services – Serving Winona, Rochester, LaCrosse, Albert Lea and The Driftless Region

Hello!  I am a birth and post-partum doula who recently moved to Winona from the Twin Cities.  I am passionate about providing family centered care to that puts you in charge of the transformative process of pregnancy and birth. I have been a doula for 15 years.  I became a doula after the birth of my oldest child.  Despite complications, the presence of my doula enabled me to come out of the birth process feeling empowered and in control.  This is the presence I wish to be for birthing people.  I have extensive experience in hospitals, birth centers, and at home births.  I have also been a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) for the past 5 years.
My goal as a postpartum doula is to enable you to deepen the bond with your new babe during the immediate postpartum period.  I believe the fourth trimester,  is an important and often over looked time in the childbearing year.  I love taking care of new mamas and babies, and helping families through breast feeding advice, herbs for physical and emotional recovery, and nutrition to protect this sacred time.
I also am a placenta encapsulator, and am happy to create a package deal that is tailored to your needs.

Megan Peterson

Birth and Postpartum Doula

My name is Megan, and I am a birth and postpartum doula from Winona. I entered the birth world through teaching prenatal yoga in the Twin Cities before moving to Southeastern MN. After the birth of my second child, which was attended by two lovely doulas, I started the journey of becoming a doula myself. I am a newer doula, but I bring my years of experience as a prenatal yoga instructor and Thai bodyworker to my doula practice.

As a birth doula, I will work with you during your prenatal time to prepare for the labor and birth experience you desire most in addition to providing complete in-person support during your birthing time and immediately after. As a postpartum doula, I can provide assistance with light housekeeping and older child care, infant feeding, newborn and postnatal health, and emotional support. My goal is to create a holistic, supportive experience for you during one of life’s most precious and sensitive times. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more information or to meet in person!
